My personal prediction for the year 2025:

The unintelligent, callous self-interest of all fundamentalist religions will be thoroughly exposed, and hopefully reviled.

Politicians and big business will abandon all pretence at democracy, and people will create better systems of representation.

Many middle-aged Westerners will wake to flooded houses, in denuded landscapes, beneath unruly weather, and wonder why designer labels, bleached teeth and celebrity once seemed so important. Men and women will gain from their greater equality, after a few shrieks from the traditionalists. Most individuals, when left to their own devices, will still get on.
